Dear families of Marshall Academy,
We recently became aware of a member of the Marshall Academy community who tested positive for COVID-19. The Calhoun County Health Department confirmed the positive test. At this time our 3rd Grade cohort has been affected.
Unless you have been personally contacted by our staff;
Your student was not a close contact and does not have to quarantine.
We are responsible for informing all families and staff who are considered “close contacts” by the CDC guidelines. At this time the community members that were close contacts are already quarantined and parents have been called.
Please understand we want to protect the confidentiality of the positive case unless there is a reason to inform you of their identity.
*At this time, for the entire 21-22 school year:
- 47 members of our community have been positive,
- 282 students have been quarantined at some point throughout the year.
Marshall Academy will continue to maintain a clean and safe environment for your children. In turn, we request that our families continue to follow social distancing guidelines and the safety procedures related to COVID-19.
Please refer any questions to Marshall Academy’s front office, or the chair of our COVID Response Team; Ms. Leslie Katz at email@example.com, or call (269)781-6330.
