COVID Notification 9-2-21

Dear families of Marshall Academy,

We recently became aware of a member of the Marshall Academy community who tested positive for COVID-19. The Calhoun County Health Department confirmed the positive test.

Your student was not a close contact and does not have to quarantine.

We are responsible for informing all families and staff who are considered “close contacts” by the CDC guidelines. At this time the students that were close contacts are already quarantined and parents have been called.

Please understand we want to protect the confidentiality of the positive case unless there is a reason to inform you of their identity.

*At this time 2 students were positive, and 6 students have been quarantined.

Marshall Academy will continue to maintain a clean and safe environment for your children. In turn, we request that our families continue to follow social distancing guidelines and the safety procedures related to COVID-19.

Please refer any questions to Marshall Academy’s front office, or the chair of our COVID Response Team; Mrs. Leslie Katz at katzl@marshallacademy.org, or call (269)781-6330.

Sincerely,

Noah Wilson
