Welcome New Staff
We have several additions for the upcoming school year. Lisa Clark has been hired as our art teacher and will be teaching elementary art as well as art elective classes in the middle and high schools. She will bring excitement and great ideas to our art program. Jessica Hagedorn will be the 1st grade teacher. She is an experienced teacher that will bring many great qualities to her 1st grade classroom. We would also like to welcome Sarah Andalon as our 3rd grade teacher. She brings 12 years of experience teaching in various elementary grade levels.
Steve Mammel has been hired as our high school science teacher. Mr. Mammels former principal described him as a superstar teacher. We have also added a new math teacher, Sarah Low, to our staff. Mrs. Low brings much excitement to this position, and looks forward to working with her students. Matt Boeve has been hired to teach several history classes to our 8th grade and high school students. Mr. Boeve (rhymes with groovy) will also fill the role of Student Support Specialist for our 7th-12th grade students.
Academic Achievement
Our students have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement in the last year. Our school achieved a school grade of an A on the recently released school report cards. The students, parents and staff are to be congratulated on this outstanding achievement. Our schools annual report is available to be viewed in the office or on our website. www.marshallacademy.org
Arrival and Dismissal
Please remember to use extreme caution and patience during drop-off and pick-up times. Safety is the absolute most important factor during this time. Please have students exit and enter only on the passengers side of your vehicle. Traffic will be passing on the drivers side. Youre encouraged to use the parking lot and walk up to the pick-up door. Never park anywhere along the drive and get out to pick-up or drop-off your students.
8th-12th grade students will be allowed to walk directly to the parking lot to get into their vehicles. If they are riding with a sibling in the lower grades they may wait outside their siblings exit door for their vehicle.
Opening Ceremony
Every morning at 8:10am we begin our school day with Opening Ceremony. Its a time that we come together as a school community to say the Pledge of Allegiance, sing patriotic songs, share accomplishments, and make announcements. Parents are welcome to attend Opening Ceremony.
